Moith, founded in 2007, is a leading manufacturer of bio-based polyurethane controlled release fertilizer. It has built the core technology chain of controlled release fertilizer, such as granulation and reengineering of fertilizer core, research and development and production of bio-based membrane materials, coating equipment and technology, and seed fertilizer co-sowing technology. It is at the world's leading level in the field of controlled release fertilizer production cost control and bio-based membrane material research and development. It has three production bases in Anhui Qingyang, Shandong Pingyuan and Shandong Juye, with a production capacity of 1 million tons of bio-based coated urea, 12,000 tons/year of vegetable oil-based polyester polyols and 2.2 million tons of controlled release BB fertilizer, with an output value of 1.93 billion yuan in 2023.
In 2021, Moith presided over the "14th Five-Year Plan" national key research and development Plan "Creation and Industrialization of New green fertilizer products", and hired Cao Weidong, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as the chief scientist. In 2019, Moith undertook the Anhui Province science and technology major project "New degradable controlled release fertilizer coating material application and industrialization" and successfully passed the acceptance. Moith has applied for 49 domestic patents, 4 US patents and 1 Japanese patent, including 11 domestic authorized invention patents, 1 US patent and 21 authorized utility model patents.
The product concept of Moith is to become the leading enterprise of high-value fertilizer in China, creating value for farmers by improving the intrinsic value of products, simple fertilization and technical value-added services. The large-scale application of Moith's simple fertilization program of controlled release fertilizer on rice, corn, wheat and cash crops has changed the way Chinese farmers apply fertilizer. In wheat, through the "wheat wide vertical stratified seed fertilizer co-sowing technology", Moith has realized one-time fertilization and life-long topdressing exemption for wheat in China. In rice, through one-time fertilization under high temperature and high humidity rice environment, after 6 years of research and development, the "rice vertical stratified seed fertilizer co-sowing technology" developed by Moith has fully entered the promotion stage. It created a new blue ocean of rice one-time sowing fertilizer.
